i figured out how to get the redhat desktop over SSH. Yes, I rock for figuring this a little bit.

Also, check this out ..
To do it -
In putty , enabled X over SSH .
On a windows box , install xming , and start it .
Connect to your rhel or linux box .. and then run ..
xclock &

It should start a clock on your desktop, in another window .. in xming... if you did it correctly .

Here are my system ascii headers when you connect to my linux machines ..

The 'redbeast' is my redhat linux server, the freenas is my NAS server.

USS Salem Vid

It was a pain in the ass trying to upload directly to blogger, and keeps failing for some reason.

I have a 3d camera too, and I was thinking about recording some stuff with that, and I know youtube will support 3d video.

Too bad not that many have the ability to view it yet. My cell phone is the only 3d screen I have at the moment.

The nightowl lens doubler

It finally came today !
I just installed the night owl lens doubler nold20.

Here's a pic of my scope and the box for the lens ...

I'll post a snap of the stars tonight. I'll bet they'll be easier to see with 5x magnification.

Nightowl night vision NOcc3

I ordered a 5x lens for my night vision monocular. I have had this thing for years and it works great but could not find the lens doubler for years.
I finally found it on eBay !

Here is the monocular I will post a vid/pic after its upgraded. Back in the day when I got this the next expensive model was at least $200 more with that doubler and it makes a hell of a difference.

New Lude

Sorry long time No post.
I sold my 99 prelude sh to get my red baby!
It wasnt without its problems! the person I got it from never fixed ANYTHING on it, and shit was zipped tied in place .. total hack ..
But here it is .. a 96 vtec prelude 4th. Its faster than the new styles, and much cooler looking.
The "wigger" I got this car from put 18" rims on it .
What a fucktard.
After buying this car, the 1st thing I had to do was replace the rims/tires to factory.
The pic below is of the wigger rims.

Here is the car after a couple days in my hands ... looks a little better already ..
I LOVE this car. Its not a 350z (yet) but its reliable, fast, and angry.

Ive never had a car with a leather gut as a DD. My corvette has one but that isnt something I drove all the time. 

As an update .. Im going to get rid of the corvette shown in the header on this page. Its time has come.
I actually perfer my prelude over my corvette ... go figure ..
Sorry to say it,but, AMERICAN SPORTS CARS ARE JUNK!
My old vtec prelude is just as fast as the old 80's/90's/00's sports cars, more reliable, and more fun to be in.
With the minimalist amount of modification, you can have this car running like a race car for $350

From the previous owner I inherited problems ..
Ive already replaced the clutch, oil pan, rear man seal, all tranny seals, and the radiator - and fans.
The car still needs a set of headers, and possibly an intake.

So : the new plan .. :  Get skunk2 intake (used if possible), get headers, get chipped ecu w/ lower vtec engagement point.

I will get these done soon. Im losing my bullshit job soon, so I might be on slicks for a while .. but I will pull it all back together.

I already did some mods to this car listed on www.92lude.com
 I highly recommend the FITV delete, and modification of the butteflys, and I am going to try the fuel pressure regulator mod ..

Next update is some of my new equipment for ghost hunting ..

USS Salem! New Investigation..

So upcoming soon .... the USS SALEM!!!!
This ship is VERY haunted. the last time I was there, we caught a lot of good visual evidence.
Our show is being grabbed up by some tv cable station (kinda cool if you ask me).
We get really really badass evidence usually.

The last time I went out, I did not get any good evidence. Shit happens.
Sometimes you go out and get no evidence .. but I had a personal experience that was not captured on
any of my equipment. While I was in one of the barracks on Rose Island, someone ran up to the room we were in. We opened the door and NOTHING was there. Upon further investigation (we walked around the whole building) there was nothing to account from the noise. We chalked it up to be the guard for the barracks of the
disease (cholera) that swept through exiled and killed several unfortunate exiles at rose island.

There is going to be a trove of evidence from this investigation. I of course will release all of it as I am able to process it accordingly.
I have some new equipment / inventions I will present over time, and in this investigation.
I have 2 brand new cameras (both custom), and hope they will catch some cool shit.
I also have 2 new lights, and made 1 of my chameoleon lights ... so we will see what it attracts.

Stay tuned .. a lot of cool shit will be happening in the future ..

Here is what I have from Rose Island ..

slim pickings this time.

I have an EVP, and only 1 good picture.. strange... last time, there was considerably more evidence.
but I did have a personal experience ill not soon forget. There was boots walking around outside of the room i was in. i opened the door to investigate the noises, and there was NOTING THERE.

Here  is the EVP I caught. They were no females on the island at the time of the investigation.

Upgrades / Tune up .. lude..

Sorry to post so much all in one day,

Just the way its been lately.
I have been working on the lude in preparation for inspection in Mass :(
I loathe state-bullshit-inspections.
you know whats funny about inspections ? commercial vehicles are exempt. ex. big rigs...
and, 1 big rig emits about 78,000 car's emissions.
really? now try to tell me again how my little car is killing the planet.
FUCK INSPECTION!
but, anyway, here is my progress to date...

 

I added fog lights to my lude.

I am not going to do a write up, since one was already done on another blog.

I added the foggies because its hard to see it shitty weather in NE, and nice to have for snow/rain/fog.

they are great and bright. $60 for the setup on ebay!

So here it is... I tried to match the valve cover to the air filter, and breather.
The wires are the Red 10MM MSD, a honda cap, msd rotor, and NGK double platinum
If this engine gives me problems in the future, it may be time for a jap spec h22 :)
well see.

so here it is.. running a little stronger now, and hits vtec HARD. its been 2 years for me since the last tune up.
hope it last another 2 years, but well see.

 This place is very haunted.
Let me say that shit again, this place is HAUNTED.
Voices, a young child, many people that died on the island from war, shipwrecks, visual evidence.
It is available for rental. I have been here once before, and have so many questions that need answering.
I will link out my old post (a year ago) and let you see what I caught last time.
and I caught some good stuff last time! In one of captures, a ghost is flipping me the bird, amid several spirits revealing themselves to my camera.

I have 2 new 3d cameras  :)
I cant wait to try them, and see what i catch. I dont even have a tv or a monitor that I can view 3d YET.
But I am working on it.. shits still expensive.. waiting for 3d technology to drop a bit first.
