bluetooth headset hack

Hi,

Check this one out -
this was a bluetooth device for sports headphones.
I took out the headphones part, and soldered a head phone jack into it instead.
This allows me to use it on an external speaker [shown below], or I can connect it to a pair of regular ear buds. I can also change the song with the buttons on the device.
Pretty cool. I like the way it works, its wireless, and I can play music off it.
I made it for my car, that doesnt have a usb. I plug this into the tape caseette adapter [sad right] and then play my music over bluetooth over the adapter.

Let me know what you think.

Raspberry Pi model B+ DVR / NoIR

Hello again,

Here is my raspi model b+ NOIR _ DVR
It took me a bit to source the parts, but here is what im using, if you wanted to replicate this config :

waveshare RPI display 3.2 tft [$18/ebay]
raspberry pi mobel b+ [$35]
generic tranparent case [$3]
NoIR camera module [$25]
camera module case [$10]

extras: usb flash disk, edimax wifi-n

After getting everything connected, and working once, using the raspbian image,
I then put the tft screen on the device, and began the config.
In this pic i am using a sandisk usb stick. It was replaced with a mini usb flash [barely visible on the left side, same size as mini-n wifi adapter]
I then drilled into the top of the case, for the camera mount. It has 2 screw holes for mounting on either side. I have 1 screw in tight, the other lose, and easily removed. that way, i can still swing it 90 degrees, so I can use the hdmi adapter, if needed. [ssh into it is easier]
This design took a bit to come up with to work as expected.
I have the recording being display on the tft screen as is it happening .

That was my intent with this device, similar to a real camcorder.
I was also thinking about jamming a small spinning disk into the case, but that could be a later mod.
at this point, I would like to see how it performs in the field.

But, i see this as a long term solution, and easily accessible for anyone .

When the dvr is powered on, it starts to autorecord [takes 10mins to start] from boot [based on a script] , and then records, and outputs to the usb flash - which could be removed after converting the .h264 files to mp4.

So far, overall, i am very happy with the end result. I will probably tweak it more, going forward, but its a great little setup for what i need it to do.

Let me know what you all think.
thanks,
Brian

early in the process ..

early concept .. and design, but didnt have the screen at that point yet [top PI]

here is a working model, when i first got the screen and the pi :)

Image is displayed on the rear screen . The flash makes it look bad, but it works great
